Return of the Star of the Magi?

The Star of the Magi?
Some historians think that a similar conjunction between Jupiter and Venus in 2 B.C. may be the source of the “star of Bethlehem” story related in the Bible. According to scholars, the stellar pair would have appeared so close together that they might have seemed to meld into one brilliant beacon of light. A one night show so to speak. Could this have been the Star of the Magi? We will never know.

Venus and Jupiter
The two planets have been visible in the West after sunset for a while now. Venus, twin or Earth, is much closer than Jupiter but in reality Jupiter is the biggest. If they were at the same distance we would hardly notice Venus.

Where are they?
Look in the southwestern sky around twilight. The two planets are already visible and the moon will join them on Monday. It is really a lucky coincidence that the moon will join them at the moment they appear to meet up in the sky.

How do you see them?
No telescope or binoculars needed as they are ***** eye objects. You only need one eye. The show will even be visible in cities if it is a clear night. Only the clouds can stop you from seeing the bright objects in the west after sunset. It will be a crescent moon and the two planets will look like bright stars close to the moon. Venus, the brighter of the two, will be slightly lower left of Jupiter, and when the crescent moon joins the show, it will sit to the upper left of Venus.

Which are the brightest?
The moon is the brightest of the three. Only around 252,000 miles away now. Venus, the second brightest, is 94 million miles away. Jupiter a staggering 540 million miles away.

Why do they shine while the rest of the sky is black?
They reflect sunlight but if the sun would die you will not see any of them at night. It would obviously be one cold long night as there would not be any day on Earth.

Can I take a picture of them?
Sure you can take a picture of a rare group shot. It would be better to put the camera on a tripod and keep it very still. Even better if you have a good zoom lens.

What if I miss it?
You will have to wait some time The next time the three will be as close and visible as this week will be Nov. 18, 2052. On New Years Eve the moon and Venus will meet again, but without Jupiter.

Last thought :

Was such a show visible the night Jesus was born? We will never know if a similar explainable phenomena was seen by the three wise men that night and and that it led them to the young Jesus. Does it matter? And if so what great leader will be born on Monday? Will there be three wise men to welcome him?

How to Make a Telescope – Tips and Guidelines For Beginners

Making a telescope is an extraordinarily rewarding experience because it crosses several different realms of experience. The first reward for you is the fun of making something. And the second reward is the sheer pleasure of using what you made to explore the universe. And you also get the added benefits of saving some money and learning about telescopes and building things.

The Simplest telescope you can make

There are a lot of different types you can make and the absolute simplest one you can make is composed of just two lenses. One large lens called an objective and a second smaller lens called an eyepiece. You hold one lens near your eye and another lens at arms length. You adjust the difference between the two by moving your arm in toward you. A point will be reached where everything comes into focus. It is as simple as that. You have a telescope. Now you can make it much better by creating a tube around it. Get two cardboard tubes with one that can slide in and out of the other. You mount one lens on the end of one tube and the other lens on the end of the other tube. Insert one tube into the other and then slide them in and out to find the focus.

You can get very inexpensive lenses from a variety of surplus and online stores and they generally will only cost a couple of dollars each. I recommend you get for your primary lens a convex lens at least 50 millimeters in diameter and a focal length of between 200 and 300 millimeters. For the secondary lens I recommend you get a convex lens that is between 10 and 25 millimeters wide with a focal length of less than 75 millimeters.

There are several things you can do to make this telescope even better. First off you could make a tube out of something more durable than cardboard tubes. Secondly, this type of telescope will invert images so everything appears upside down which is ok for viewing the sky but is very awkward for viewing things on the earth. You can solve this by using a concave lens for the eyepiece rather than a convex lens.

You can purchase the lenses individually from online surplus stores and there are several kits readily available that give you all the necessary materials to make this kind of telescope. They also come in bulk units for classroom and group use. A kit like this typically gives you all the materials needed to make ten or more telescopes.

Getting A little more involved with your telescope making

If you want a bit more of a challenge you should consider making some type of reflector telescope. Instead of a large objective lens as the light gatherer this type uses a mirror. A reflector can be very economical by giving you great price versus performance. Mirrors cost substantially less than lenses so for the same amount of money spent you can get a much larger and much more powerful telescope.

If you have a bit of woodworking or metal working skill and you want to tackle a project that is well within the means of a hobbyist you might want to consider making a Dobsonian telescope. A Dobsonian telescope uses a parabolic mirror to collect the light and most Dobsonian builders buy the mirror then build the mount for the mirror to go in. The basic concept of this type of telescope is that it is easy to build and easy to use. It is pretty much just a rotating base with a telescope tube mounted on it. And this type of instrument has gotten very popular because it really is easy to use and easy to build. And one of the biggest benefits is that because it is so inexpensive to build more money can be spent on larger mirrors which can make them quite remarkable in terms of their ability to see things in the night sky. If you are considering making this type of scope you probably should begin with one that has a mirror between six and eight inches in diameter.

Whether you build a refractor or a reflector telescope making is a very rewarding pursuit and is something you can enjoy for a lifetime. And once you start you might find that you have caught the fever and will be always looking toward building bigger and better ones. For some people making them is half the fun.

Astrological Latte

The moon is the swiftest moving of the ten bodies of the zodiac. She moves through all twelve signs about every twenty eight days. She is perpetually in motion. Our everyday routines reflect her waxing and waning. The moon represents the common, the ordinary, the everyday and its people. Every 28 days of the Moon’s cyclic activity mirrors this type of domestic event. Think of the emotional cycle we humans experience on a daily basis.

When we even dare to peek at the sun, his brilliance can be enough to temporarily blind us. This is akin to judging people by their sun signs. Temporarily, we are blinded by the high energy this vital body emits so we may overlook other worthwhile traits someone possesses. The sun is number one on the music charts, the most often played tune, the song with the most memorable words. They roll off our lips without giving it much thought. The sun is how we most often project our ego.

When we think of mercury it reminds us of quicksilver, the substance that used to be in thermometers. Mercury adjusts its size according to the temperature. It expands in the heat and retracts in the cold. In early myths mercury was the messenger of the Gods. Mercury personifies communication. If mercury is in the same sign as the sun we sometimes see a little less objectivity, a little more embracing of one’s own words and thoughts. Venus reminds me of beauty. She is the love goddess surrounding herself with ardent admirers. She is all things feminine. Venus smoothes the way for us. She always makes things prettier, more expensive and most of all, in good taste.

As venus exits out springs mars. We get our warrior instincts, *** drive, lead foot and all matters that convey a sense of urgency from fiery mars. Race car fans are living out their Martian zeal vicariously by watching the challenges the drivers encounter during a 300 or 500 lap event. When we lose our head and start spouting off at someone who cut us off in traffic, mars is driving us at full speed.

As we keep gazing into the sky out rolls jupiter like a giant ball. It can be our winning Keno number popping up while we are on a cruise to Monte Carlo and other exotic ports of call. On the other hand jupiter might be that urge to splurge we felt when we first saw the ancient Chinese pottery at the College Alumni yearly auction.

Enjoy a bit of astrology with your latte.

Free Tarot Readings

Playing cards were the inspiration for the origin of tarot. In the early days, tarot was also used to create stories and poems. These poems in praise of courtiers were called Tarocchi Appropriati. In time, these cards became connected with divination.

Tarot readings are a form of divination. They are supposed to give us a peek into the future. Tarot card symbols are interpreted in many ways – even the way that they are placed. If placed upwards the meaning is positive, if upside down it is negative. Tarot cards may have different interpretations in different positions. For example, the King of Wands in the first position could signify positive ambition, plans and learning. In the second position, it may signify procrastination. In the third, it may encourage you to work with a team. In the fourth, it could ask you to take initiative, and in the fifth, it could ask you to work on your self-confidence.

There are sites on the Internet that offer free tarot card readings. They answer a few limited questions. Some of them are not just tarot sites but advertise other occult products as well. You’ll find these sites easy to navigate. Many of them have preset questions. Cards are drawn out once you fill in your details and your questions are answered. Computer algorithms or programs are used to read the cards.

Some of the sites that offer free readings are Sara Freder (www.sara-freder.com), Astrosearch (www.tarot.readings.thefutureminders.com), Circle of Light (www.circlesoflight.com), Tarot Cards and Tarot Reading (www.tarot-reading.net), Spiritual Guidance Tarot (www.spiritualguidancetarot.com/).

Many say that tarot reading will transform the way life is now being lived by the seeker, that it may bring about self-discovery and change.

Some sites give the user a set of cards to view. Some of these are well known decks like Tarot of Dreams, Gilded Tarot, Da Vinci Enigma Tarot, Golden Tarot, and Druidcraft Tarot. Other sites even train you to read the cards.

If you want to know more about divination, you would do well to get an appointment with a tarot reader online or by telephone. These readings must be paid for.

If you want to get excellent psychic phone readings, then you might want to do a little homework first. When you look on the web, you are going to find all kinds of readings available that you can get online including tea leaf reading, tarot readings, love teller, future teller, and a question teller. Just about the only type of reading that you cannot get online is a palm reading.

If you want a reading from a palmist, it usually has to be done by mail. You send a print of your hand in the form of a Xerox to a palmist who then sends you back a mail or email answer to your question. You can’t really get a palm reading as phone readings because the psychic is unable to see your palm.

The best psychic phone readings are usual the tarot card readings. There are many chandlers and intuitive that do not use cards, but these are the most expensive of phone psychics simply because they take so long to get into the actual reading. They will spend a great deal of time simply accessing the spirits while the minutes you are charged start ticking away. At least with tarot cards, the psychic has a tool that has some immediacy to it. In terms of psychic services, it is the type of reading that gives you the quickest answer. It can take some talented readers less than three minutes to answer your question if they are using cards.

Scryers also take a long time to get you results on the phone. You are best to see this type of magic teller in person at a carnival or a psychic fair of some kind. You can find these scryers on webcam online, but they charge by the minute and it can get very expensive.

There are some kinds of psychic services that will give you a tea leaf reading over the phone. You can also get them over a web cam. These can take forever though because even if the tea is ready the question teller spends a lot of time turning over the cup and divining the shape of the leaves in the cup. This, of course, can get expensive. This is another one of those psychic services that are best gotten in person as each reading is so extensive and complicated and also visually oriented.

One way to find out which psychic services online give the best phone readings is to check with people you know who have them. They can often recommend someone. If you are online, you will note that many of these psychics on group site go by a rating system. The rating system tells you how accurate or nice the psychic was as well. Feedback on sites is a fairly reliable way of telling whether or not a psychic is any good.

Capricorn Sexual Astrology

In his horoscope we find the money planet in its best sign for (astrology sign of cancer) making money, Taurus. However, we see also that capricorn sexual astrology the singular most negative point (which is so in any capricorn sexual astrology horoscope) is right beside Venus; it is called the South Node. Using the most basic of astrological meanings it translates into: large scale financial loss. How Could it Happen?

In all likelihood Bernie Madoff probably had a bad run early in his capricorn sexual astrology career but found he could use his business knowledge and persuasive skills to cover up the loss. Possibly also he may have found that he was virtually invulnerable to doubt and distrust from others due to his remarkable ability to allow her intuition to guide her. Some of the questions that lead to ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer
‘Is it good if I import the set of goods can seek divination help. Divination can address this difficulty by predicting the capricorn sexual astrology outcome of the interview?’

One cannot ask questions that lead to ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer
‘Is it good if I import the set of goods’
‘Will my girlfriend says Yes to my marriage proposal?’

In divination, it is possible for even the least compatible signs to make its way through multiple layers of earthen rock.

Meteor Showers in Late July

While Americans associate fireworks with the first weekend in July, with their July 4th Independence Day celebration, those of us into skywatching get our shows throughout the latter half of July, with several showers reaching their peaks in the last week of the month.

As long time readers already know, meteor showers are the specks of sand and bits of gravel left over from outgassings on comets. Some of those have been documented in modern history. Most, however, have been running for tens of thousands of years, and a handful may be nearly a hundred thousand years old.

There are a lot of meteor showers in July, and they go through building periods and waning periods. They’re named after the closest star in the sky the streams seem to be radiating from – in effect, the part of the sky where the tangent of their orbital velocity is directly perpendicular to the Earth.

We’re past just past the peak of the July Phoenicids. However, there are a number of meteor showers picking up that started earlier in the month such as the Alpha Pisces Australids (which tend to be few streaks, but a few bright ones) and the gem of the southern skies in July, the Southern Delta Aquarids, which hit their peak around July 28th to 30th, and first started sparking on the 14th. They taper off rapidly from their peak around August 3rd.

We are particularly fortunate in the timing of the Southern Delta Aquarids, because they’re very near the night of the new moon; this keeps moonlight from washing out your vision as you stare into the skies.

Starting roughly a week later, and lasting longer, are the Alpha Capricornids, about 30 degrees counterclockwise on the sky. They’re likely to hit their peak about August 2nd or 3rd, and when they peak, they tend to create a lot of streaks of color across the sky arcing out from their radiant. (One reason why the Alpha Capricornids tend to peak “off center” of their visibility is the angle that they intersect the earth’s orbit at; they sort of brush across the Earth’s orbit and “ride with us” for a bit through the densest part of the storm.

To prepare for watching meteor showers, we recommend taking a nap in the afternoon. Besides, it’s a great justification for the missus. “I’m not being lazy – this is for science!”. Once you’re up, dim the lights – and make a red filtered flashlight to find your way outside. It will take a good 20-30 minutes for your eyes to fully dark adapt.

Then sit back, get comfortable and enjoy the show, taking plenty of time to see the meteors as they become visible in bursts of activity.

Huygens and the Biggest Telescopes of the 17th Century

Christiaan Huygens was born in Holland in 1629 and he was a mathematical genius who  invented several important mechanical devices including the pendulum clock.  He had a deep understanding of astronomy, optics, mathematics, and mechanical devices.  And he built some of the largest telescopes of the 17th century.

Being a contemporary of Galileo he heard about Galileo’s telescope and he set out to improve on the design. One of the liabilities of refracting telescopes like the one that Galileo built was that because of optical problems they caused distortion in how things looked. The colors of objects were separated and things were not sharp. This was a phenomenon called chromatic aberration. Huygens discovered, after much experimentation, that this problem could be lessened by building lenses with much longer focal lengths. This type of lens with a longer focal length was easier to make accurately. And using this discovery he built telescopes that were as long as 120 feet.

He called his style of telescope “tubeless” because it was an open air frame without a tube; and while he did build a monster that was 120 feet long it was cumbersome and difficult to use. Most of his observations and discoveries were made with smaller telescopes around forty feet in length.

He wasn’t just a lens and telescope maker though. He was also an avid astronomer and he used his telescopes to make some discoveries under the night sky. One of his most important discoveries was of the rings of Saturn. He wasn’t the first one to actually see them. Galileo did that. But because of chromatic aberration Galileo’s telescope wasn’t good enough to resolve the rings into what they truly were. All Galileo saw was what he described as a tri-form planet which was composed of a large center section that had a section attached to each side. He described these side sections as being much like the handles of a vase. Huygens, with his better telescopes, could resolve the image of Saturn better and see what was really there and in 1656 he published his findings. He described Saturn as being composed of a central globe much like Jupiter but girdled by a thin flat ring that did not touch it.

Other discoveries by Huygens

He also discovered Titan which is the first of Saturn’s moons. And his sketches of the Orion nebula are the first known sketches of it and today the center of this nebula is named after him as the Huygens region.  He also discovered several interstellar nebulae and some previously undiscovered double stars.

Huygens made some important contributions to the science of astronomy with his discoveries and to the art of telescope making with his work in optics and chromatic aberration.  He also built the largest telescopes of the seventeenth century.

Cancer Male Astrology

One highly recommended way is to work with a mentor. You could assist the person and side by side see real reading taking place whereby you could learn hands-on while consulting cancer male astrology your own interpretation with the help of tarot card cancer male astrology instructions. It is true that every card has its own meaning all the way from the major arcana cards. The suits in tarot cards are not the same as regular cards. This article is going to explain the tarot cards

The second aspect to card reading involves the relationship of one card to another. Decide upon the pattern for interpretation with the help of tarot card instructions would be helpful to gain clarity of the cancer male astrology interpretations to surface. Each card is loaded with visual imagery, and is often also grounded in numerology and astrology. You can use your own relationships and to forecast the life path of each individual. BaZi translates our birth data – Year , Month , Day and Hour of birth into four pairs of distinct Chinese Characters (called Jia Zi ). Four pairs make Eight Characters (BaZi ). Ba Zi (Eight Characters (or BaZi).

Each pair is also known as a pillar, hence the term Four Pillars. The eight characters, we can learn cancer male astrology much about our nature and our life path. An individual can make use of this information that it contains, and would he know personal astrology what it is or recognize the vast amount of information that enables success. If your energy is low this year, postpone strategic decisions and major purchases for a better time.

You can be sure I check energy patterns and other cool tones, look to delphinium, hydrangeas and the like for these colors. In contrast, Fire signs enjoy bold reds, oranges and yellows like Sunflowers. Even textures and shapes can play in to flowers appealing to astrological sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the time of your birth.

We are all curious about who we truly are, why we do the things we do and what the future might hold for us, particularly in light of the coming ’shift’ predicted for 2012 (the culmination of a 25 year preparatory cycle begun in 1987), which is probably why visits to astrologers, tarot readers and numerologists are becoming increasingly popular. While astronomers may quibble about whether or not Pluto is a planet and tarot readers may wonder if reversed cards are applicable in a reading, numerologists are not all playing with the same system. Let’s pretend that you visited one numerologist in Timbuktwo and another in Timbukthree, used the same name and birthdate and yet came away with two entirely different descriptions of your name energy and lifepath…I’m guessing you’d be more confused coming out than you were going in.

So here’s the thing. There are two systems of numerology: one is the Pythagorian, or conventional system widely used today, and the other is a secret. And yes, I am going to tell you! Around 6,000 years ago (approximately 3,000 years before the current system became popular), the mother of numerology was born in Chaldea (or Babylon), hence the name Chaldean numerology. This system comprises both the meanings or vibrations of numbers with the meanings or vibrations of letters. The numerical value of each letter is non-sequential, unlike the conventional method and is more spiritually based, which is partly demonstrated by the number 9, considered ’sacred’ by the ancients (consider Jesus=9, Christ=9 and Jesus Christ=18/9) being withheld from application to any letter values. (This name observation is offered from a strictly objective viewpoint, much in the same vein as my telling you that John F. Kennedy was an 8). There are other differences between the two modalities: suffice it to say Chaldean numerology is the more difficult system to wrap a brain around, but is well worth the effort as the results are much more accurate, specific and meaningful.

One important fact that I want to establish beyond doubt is that the energy of both numbers and letters are scientifically recognized. We all began with numbers (2 cells joined) and letters (Y and Z chromosomes) so the idea that we project our own energies or vibrations is no more hogwash than Einstein’s theory of relativity (E=mc2) is hogwash. In fact, it was once believed that to know someone’s name was to have power over them. This is true even in today’s world…we give our names out liberally to almost anyone who asks and once our name is known, anyone can research it, a prospect made so much easier by the internet. Once this happens, whoever is researching our name does indeed have power over us…identity theft comes to mind. So, if we are willing to give the power of our names away so freely, why on earth would we not look closely into that personal power ourselves? It is ours, after all, and likely the most precious thing we have, though this is often not realized until ownership is held in potential question. There is so much more to a name than is commonly recognized and that is what Chaldean numerology is all about: revealing the truth about the power in your name and offering tools with which to utilize that power.

Here is a quick reading any of you can perform on yourselves. Add your month of birth to your day of birth like this: I was born on March 10th, so my birthpath would be calculated by figuring the month of birth (03) and the day (10) and adding them together (13). Simply reduce the double digit number you come up with (4 for me) and read the following short story, and when you get to your number, see how it relates to your own life. Your number will indicate the basic path you are here to follow, or learn how to incorperate into your path.

Once upon a time, a caveman wakes up in the midst of the forest. He has a bump on his head and hasn’t a clue who he is. All he knows is that he is alone. By himself. The only one (1). And that he is hungry and cold. He has no thoughts of seeking help for, as far as he knows, there are no others. He has no memory and therefore no point of reference. So, he follows his (natural)instinct to surviveand collects some berries to eat and some large, leafy branches which he uses to construct a temporary shelter of sorts. Somewhere in the back of his mind is the notion that banging two stones together over a loose pile of twigs and brush will bring heat. He flounders and hisses over his attempts for a few minutes, but perseveres until he achieves his goal. As he sits before the warmth of the fire and eats more berries, he pats the large stick at his side, a comfort to him in case he needs to protect himself from unwelcome intruders. He feels strong, in control and is busy making plans for the next day. He intends to investigate his surroundings, collect more food, track one of those creatures whose eyes he sees reflected by the firelight and perhaps fashion himself a coat…but suddenly, his attention is diverted by a new presence he senses in the darkness beyond his circle of fire and he rises to his feet. He is unprepared for company and does not know how to react.

There is another like him standing just beyond the circle. This one has longer hair than he does, which is quite amazing, but the round globes on its chest amaze him even more. Before long, he has coaxed this creature from the darkness into the light and has settled (her) next to him at the fire. Now he is no longer alone: now there are two (2).In the days that follow, they grow to care for one another. Each nurtures the other and over time, they becomes inseparable. She seems especially happy: she tidies around the camp and helps to prepare the food he goes out to collect. She seems to like to be closeto him; touch him and hug him. He feels peaceful with her company and enjoys the gentleness of her voice, her eyes and her touch. He feels at home and safe with her there and they express their mutual joy together in the dark of night in the oldest dance in history. It is almost as though they have each searched for the other their entire lives.

A few months later, they are surprised and amazed when almost like magic, a miniature replica of themselves pops out from her tummy. (They had wondered why she’d gotten so fat!…These are cavepeople, remember.) Their euphoria quickly wears off, however, when they realize the exhausting work involved in caring for this little bundle of joy. With the birth, the two of them have now become three (3)and the constant activity centers around the child, a little version of the woman, who needs to be fed, changed, entertained, burped and comforted in an endless, ongoing loop. Their only respite is when the child sleeps. And that seems to come in 20 minute intervals. This is a brand new experiencefor both of them and their brains are never still…there is so much to think about and do. They each learn to allow the other time to be still and quiet: to rest and reflect…this becomes a necessity or they both will burn out.

A short time later, by mutual decision, they begin to clear a space in the woods next to a large rock. Using strong branches as spines, they begin to design a hut, or home, using the rock and three strong lengths of wood buried deep in foundational holes as the four (4) corners of the base. After bracing a series of smaller pieces of wood against this base, they then cover the entire structure with large leafs, moss and branches. This process takes much time and effort, but they are satisfied with the results, for they had realized that they needed a proper, safer place in which to live and raise their child and had understood that this was their duty to provide. Now the family will become more grounded and a routine can be established. Each parent assumes duties and chores and takes personal responsibility to ensure that the basic elements of existence are maintained.

Now we will fast forward a few years and focus on the child, who is now fourteen (14/5), a teenager. Both parents notice that their child seems to be spending more time away from the home (which has been remodeled and expanded, by the way) than in it, which is actually true. What the parents don’t know is that the teen has been exploring the area, visiting with neighbouring communities (yes, the parents did discover others like them and became part of a scattered community) and has even kissed a caveboy. Her friends (5 of them!) have provided her with funny stuff to smoke and liquid to drink, both of which have affected her body and mind in different ways. She finds herself curious about everything and her senses seem to have heightened: she is responsive to anything that promises excitement and adventure. She is bored with home and routine and seeks change, freedom and challenges. She needs to experience many different situations and circumstances before she will understand the need for balance in her life.

Fast forward again, this time, only a few months. We are still focussed on the teen, who has been ‘running wild’ and has, indeed, experienced all manner of things, some good and some not so good. She has noticed lately that she is tired of it all and that she feels lonely, despite the people she surrounds herself with. When she turns 15 (6), she realizes, in the midst of a party given in her honor and far from her home, that her heart feels empty and hungry at the same time. She longs for nurturing, unconditional acceptance, hugs and love and knows there is only one place and two people who can fulfill her longing. She leaves the party and heads for home, where she is received with smiles and joy and genuine love. She feels at peace for the first time in a long while. Here she is truly loved and she knows it and values it in a brand new way. Her family is her strength.

In the aftermath of the troubled teen’s adventures, parents and child settle into a quiet, more thoughtful phase. Although the teen is young and still faces much of life’s lessons, her parents have been through many situations and have been thrown many curve balls. They are growing older and are spending more time in their heads, thinking about all that has been and all that is yet to be…including their passage from this life. In a natural progression, their thoughts turn to contemplation of spirit: of the ‘other side’, of the possible existence of something more to this life than they can see. They acknowledge the the odd sense of uneasiness that each has experienced on various occasions (like the time they stayed home instead of venturing on a planned picnic and a massive storm burst and flooded the surrounding lands) and wonder at its source. On the 7th day of each week, they sit on the log bench they have constructed and contemplate and ruminate. They are both logical thinkers, but find themselves opening to the mystical, metaphysical and unseen. New ideas are thought and spoken and exchanged and the parents understand that they must be open to a new way of thinking.

After this period of deep thinking, the parents feel a new connection that goes beyond that of the material earth plane. Each sees a balance in their lives which was absent until now and endeavours to improve themselves and assist others. It is as though they have undergone a tranformation of sorts which has resulted in the birth of personal power. They feel more in control of their lives and able to focus and accomplish more than they ever thought possible. They feel compassion for the plights of others and begin to help their neighbours and community in areas of need, however, they do so with no expectation of reward. As a result, their own lives improve: they benefit both materially and emotionally in ways neither had expected. Within their community, a distinct respect grows for the family and thereby creates a powerful authority and influence that they are aware of but are careful never to abuse. The compassion they have learned to feel is the required element in controlling the element of power assigned to the phase of the 8.

And now, we reach the conclusion of the normal number scale. The parents are now near the end of their earthly manifestations and are gentle, kind, thoughtful and genuine in their approach to all humanity and earthly creatures. They have learned the lessons set before them and have absorbed knowledge that only years of experience can afford. They have looked inside themselves and are at peace with what they have found. They honor the voice of ‘intuition’ and spend time creatively and with good intent. (Their daughter has long since married and moved away, busy on her own lifepath.) They find joy in allowing their imagination free reign and often pick up on the subtle energies of others and gladly share their love and support when appropriate to do so. They are preparing for and even anticipating their own departure from this ‘reality’…for deep in their souls, they know they are but returning ‘home’. As such, these energies are true 9s…sympathetic, humble, wise and sincere. In the ultimate lesson, they have understood that everything happens for a reason, that all reasons are part of the lesson and that this ‘reality’ is really a classroom – a place of learning, releasing and loving: first, the self, and then, naturally, others.

If you happen to hit an 11, 22 or 33…well, consider yourself a Master! Double digits hold a higher vibration than single digits, or, in other words, double numbers hold double power. If the regular number scale of 1 through 9 can be looked at as grammar and high school, then Master numbers can be regarded as the equivalent to college or university…to put it simply, a Master number presents an opportunity for ‘higher learning’. The Master Intuitive (11) represents a higher vibration of the original force (1), which translates into the ability to tap into the intuition and imagination in an incredibley creative and profound way. Number 22, the Master Architect or Builder, is capable of tapping into the imagination and creativity of the 11 as well, but can take it to the next level: physical manifestation here in this Earth plane. The Master number 33 is the higher vibration of love and self-sacrifice and would likely be found in a position of administering to those in need, to the detriment of their own personal lives. Master Healer number 44 administers as well, although the reach of the 44 is of a global nature which can sometimes offer major healing potential to humanity itself.

History of Exploring the Moon – USSR and USA

The Beginning and Orbiting

The astronauts knew exactly how the surface of the Moon looked and possibly felt. This was because robots were sent there to land. Three Ranger craft crash landed in 1964 and 1965 but in 1966 and 1967 they were followed by the Lunar Orbiter craft which orbited the Moon and sent back valuable information.

The Landing

In 1966 the Soviet Lunia IX soft landed on the Moon. After that seven US Surveyor craft soft landed from 1966 to 1968. Only five were successful but they sent back photographs and small detail regarding the soil. They could scoop up soil and analyze the soil. This was great but then it was time to visit.

Apollo Missions

For years the Astronauts had been preparing and circled the Moon on Christmas 1968. But the big day came on 20 July 1969 when the Americans finally landed. Samples of the rocks and soil were brought back for scientists to analyze. Apollo 12,15, and 17 landed on mare surfaces which proved to be lava flows. Crushed rocks were evidence of a violent past. Apollo 13 did not land and 14 landed at Fra Mauro.

Lunar Vehicles

Then the USSR built Luna 16 and 20 which not only flew to the Moon but also returned with samples. Two other spacecrafts called Lunokhod made short trips of 10 and 37km respectively.

Last Mission

The Lunar roving vehicle with on-board camera took the Apollo astronauts to exciting areas. During the Apollo 17 mission they encountered one of the most unusual lunar samples: orange soil caused by small orange beads formed in a volcanic eruption 3,500 million years ago.   The astronauts left behind a network of instruments such as seismometers to register Moonquakes. These instruments recorded the explosive charges fired on the Apollo 17 mission and as it rippled through the Moon it gave valuable insight of the inside structure.

The Study of Vedic Astrology in the Symbol of Gemini

With Vedic Astrology the study of the Zodiac is much more personalized with the understanding that the sun represents an individuals inner nature, personalities, and characteristics. There are a variety of vedic books available on the market today that specialize in the study of Zodiac calendar, which includes the sign of Gemini.

For each sign of the Zodiac the sun represents the inner nature, personality, and characteristics of an individual. The sun shines brightly on the sign of Gemini, which is a masculine sign and the third sign of the Zodiac. It is ruled by the planet Mercury, which is a quick and lively planet as well as the messenger of the gods. Individuals that are born under the sign of Gemini love to talk and are socially entertaining.

The sign of Gemini is a star sign and is represented by the dual sign of a set of twins. Individuals born under the sign of Gemini are influenced by communication, intellectual matters, and gossip. This is an air sign, which means that these individuals are highly capable of being ingenious and quick witted. However, these individuals can become easily bored or frustrated by the things in their lives that are moving way too slowly.

Geminis are open minded individuals that are able to see both sides of issues. They are primarily interested in fashion and new fads, although they do possess a skepticism that is healthy for any individual. Geminis are known for being a party animal, but they are also known to sit back and watch others. They are very sharp witted and have supreme powers to observe others and situations that surround them, however they do have a great tendency to exaggerate even the normal every day occurrence. Geminis are often considered to be the life of the party and many would make excellent radio personalities or talk show hosts.

Talents of an individual born under the sign of Gemini include design, arts, music, interior decorating, crafts, magic, and illusion. These individuals are relatively slender due to the fact that they spend much more time talking than eating. They also enjoy activities like swimming, gymnastics, tennis, racquetball, and bicycling. It seems a shame that these individuals have very little faith in themselves, but they compensate this by covering it up with sarcasm and wit. They could use their minds in a variety of ways to better suit themselves. Geminis are capable of running around from left to right and back again. The strengths of individuals born under the sign of Gemini are focused in the communication area, which can be either in written material or verbally, but also in media, gossip, and trivia.

These delicate creatures have the ability to blend in with their environment, but they prefer to be the life of the party with their witty remarks and unlimited knowledge. They will keep in touch with friends that have moved away and are always a source of unlimited information and gossip, and one invention that was created is perfect for the Gemini is the mobile phone and is their most treasured accessory. Geminis control the hands, arms, lungs, upper ribs, and thymus gland of the human body, so these individuals are subject to injury and infection within these areas. They are also subject to mental distraction. Colors for these individuals are yellow, light blue, and various colors and their birthstone is the agate, which is streaked with a variety of colors. Flowers associated with the Gemini are the azalea, lilac, and lily of the valley.

Personal Astrology – Know They Self Above All Others?

Personal astrology with the advent of the Internet is a fast growing service now being used by more and more people across the world. Real astrology is no longer an obscure science to be understood by the select few or being used only as an entertainment medium. There are according to some, ‘real’ benefits to ‘real’ astrology. So what exactly is it that personalised astrology has to offer the individual?

Primarily personal astrology it is said is all about you and your potential in this lifetime. Astrology is according to advocates a tool to greater self understanding and to greater self-awareness that allows you to move through life with more clarity and a clearer idea of who you are. Astrology is said to give a clearer perspective of your experiences and of all those around you, plus in the case of ‘relationship astrology’ it is claimed to give us a greater understanding of our interactions with other individuals too. Understanding the energies and the elements working with-in astrology will, if we are prepared to ‘buy into’ the concepts give us a deeper and more fulfilling understanding of our life and of the world around us.

‘Real’ astrology also has a strong and reliable predictive reputation that it is said can help us to understand the future and the effect that it will have upon us better than any other medium. Timing in life they say is everything so knowing what is coming over the next few days, months, or even the entire year would help us to take advantage of all the opportunities that are coming our way as well as being prepared for all those events and energies that may not be so welcome in ones life too. Forewarned is forearmed as the old saying goes and those that use astrology as a personal tool are not only prepared but claim greater self knowledge and an enriched more fulfilling view of life as well. Personal astrology does seem to offer an awful lot to the individual that is prepared to approach and to believe in the more esoteric side of life with an open mind and as they say: Seeing is believing!

Richard helped devise and set up AstroMap.co.uk the astrology website dedicated to making ‘Real astrology’ (which goes far beyond the sun sign horoscopes that are so prevalent across the web) reach out to a wider audience and becoming more accessible to all. – You can see Richards ‘real astrology’ site at http://www.astromap.co.uk/Personal_astrology_reports_zone.htm

Does That Tarot Mumbo Jumbo Really Work?

If you are familiar with new age literature today then you are aware of the law of attraction. The law of attraction states that everything in the universe is energy at its base level. All energy vibrates and based on your level of vibration things are drawn into your reality or attracted to you. If you take it a little farther there are no coincidences, accidents or luck that enters into your reality. All things are orchestrated by the beautifully woven tapestry of the universe in which we are all a part. Damn, that was almost poetic!

Everything in the universe is connected. Based on this premise that all things are connected, tarot cards have been used successfully for hundreds of years. Are you Skeptical about the success of tarot cards? Let’s use a little common sense logic. If they did not work would they be in use and last for hundreds of years? Were you skeptical of the stockbroker that gave you that tip on the last hot buy before the market went into the toilet? Maybe you should have been! People have had great success with tarot cards for hundreds of years. That’s why they have stayed around and people keep coming back. With the success that you’ve had, why do you keep going back to that broker?

In a tarot card reading you concentrate on a question. You then are dealt a “spread” of cards. When you are concentrating you are sending out a vibe to the universe. Because your energy vibrates at a certain level at any given point in time the cards that find their way into your spread are specifically attracted to your energy or vibration. There are no coincidents, accidents or luck. The cards are attracted to your energy. A skilled “reader” can interpret the cards based on your question and their intuition. A tarot card reader can be psychic but they don’t have to be to give a good reading. It is more of an intuitive art. The cards are a snap shot of the energy that you are putting out, at any moment in time, to the universe. That stockbroker? He just threw a dart at a board full of companies, hit one then called you! At least the tarot reader taps into the universe, that stock broker just tapped the phone and you came up.

Choosing tarot card reader is like choosing a preacher. Do you want to hear a sermon of fire and brimstone and how you have one foot in hell and the other foot on a banana peel? Or do you want one that will give you hope and the ideal you can be a better human being? Ok, I’m kidding with the analogy of the fire and brimstone tarot reader. But do understand that reading the cards is not a science. Different readers can look at the same card and interpret it different ways. No right or wrong simply their perspective. I was a skeptic about tarot cards until I understood how they fit with my vibrational energy and the law of attraction. A good tarot reader can aid you in many areas of your life.

For example, what would be your best career path? Why you seem to get involved with the same type person in relationships? Things you need to do to develop a good relationship. They can aid you in how to handle certain situations in a relationship, at work, at home, in business and any number of life’s issues that you may not quite have a grasp of. Because all parts of your life are interconnected within the tapestry of the universe, a good tarot reading can be an awesome aid in your daily life. Unorthodox? Yes. But relevant in ways that many do not yet realize. There is no accident that you are reading this blog. Because of the law of attraction you drew it into your awareness. Now you need to act on the message. There are many skilled tarot card readers that you can connect with online. Find one that is reputable and allow them to give you a reading. lighten up, Learn how you fit into this universe. Tarot can be an excellent tool. Now where did I leave those darts and my cell phone?

The Formation of Stars

Around 1.5 million years after the big bang the clumps of hydrogen and helium that had just been made broke up to make huge galaxy-sized clouds. In the dark wells of the universe matter fell together. Some places were denser than others and after almost 30 million years clumps of gas and dust fell in on each other, crushing under their own weight. As these giant gas clouds spun they became denser and denser causing objects to collide more and more warming up everything around them.

Most of these balls of gas remained unchanged, making brown dwarfs, which are about the size of Jupiter, the heavier ones pushed at the hydrogen atoms in their centre so much that they eventually ignited. The atoms deep inside fell into their constituent parts again, but higher up more and more protons were pushed onto the neutrons making new elements. Alchemy began in the stars as hydrogen atoms fused together to make more helium. As with all cases of nuclear fusion huge amounts of energy is released exploding in a fire strong enough to keep the star burning for millions more years. After all of the hydrogen is used up stars can then burn helium to create heavier elements, this releases less energy as less mass is lost. The stars then loose some of their thermal pressure and they collapse a little. This can ignite them again and give them enough energy to keep burning, making heavier atoms and causing the star to swell, shedding its skin in a giant red cloud. These are known as red giants. Some stars stop here, leaving a core as small as the Earth made of heavily compressed carbon, the same thing as diamonds, and weighing as much as the Sun. This is known as a white dwarf.

The more massive a star is the hotter, and bluer, it is. The cooler a star gets the redder it becomes, going down the rainbow through green, yellow and orange. Hotter stars can burn more elements it can burn into existence but live significantly shorter lives. All of the natural elements burn into existence inside the most massive stars. Lastly, they grow a skin of iron which sets off a nuclear fission reaction resulting in a supernova. The star explodes with the power of a trillion nuclear bombs, splashing the natural elements all around them. Sometimes after these explosions the core is so heavy that all of the electrons are released from their atoms creating an electronic sea. In heavier stars still the electrons and protons melt together creating neutrons once again. These are known as neutron stars.

The largest stars leave ashes so heavy that they fall in on each other, stretching space into a black hole. Black holes are wells in spacetime so deep that even light cannot escape. Black holes can be as massive as 250 million Suns, these are so heavy that they bent space all around the newly formed galaxy, they pulled at the stars out of reach just enough to ignite the sky around them. Some produce screaming bursts of light away from its edges becoming a quasar.

Over 8 billion years ago one of these supernova explosions created a cloud of dust and gas so heavy that almost all of this fell back together again, and after another 3 billion years it began to glow as a dull yellow star. A tiny amount of matter was left swirling around the valley of space created by the weight of what was to be called the Sun, some parts were denser than others and so they fell together making larger and larger clumps. After a few tens of thousands of years the planets took their shape. Our Earth is just part of the debris of a huge stellar explosion, and from these ashes humans grew.

Binoculars For Astronomy? Why Not!

Think about it, binoculars are inexpensive, highly portable and require no complicated setting up procedure.

Binoculars allow excellent moon views, and great viewing of star fields, comets and even deep sky objects. They are especially useful for beginners as the right way up view makes it easy to navigate the skies. With a little practice you can pick out several of the planets and even the larger moons orbiting Jupiter. Clusters like Pleiades look great because the binoculars wide field of view lets you have more of the cluster in view at once.

So how to choose which ones? Binoculars have two specifications marked on the body of the binocular in the form of 7x 50, where the first number represents the magnification (in this case 7 times) and the second the aperture (50mm in this case). When it comes to selecting the right binoculars for astronomy, aperture is the most important feature to think about. The bigger the aperture the more light is captured so the brighter and clearer the image will be. For astronomy use you will need at least 40mm aperture and preferably larger.

You will need a magnification factor of at least 7, maybe up to 10 if you have a steady hand. Any higher than about 10 times magnification and you will need to mount them on a tripod as the hand shake effect makes it difficult to get a sharp image.

There are giant binoculars available with higher magnifications and apertures which are designed for astronomy use but you will certainly need a sturdy tripod or mount to use them. These can offer excellent viewing up to about 25 times magnification with 100mm apertures.

This brings us to another point, a specification known as the ‘exit pupil’. This specification refers to the diameter of the shaft of light that reaches your eye. You can easily calculate it by dividing the aperture by the magnification so that 7 x 50 binocular has an exit pupil of just over 7mm. Capturing as much of that as possible is good as it means all the available light is getting to where you want it, i.e.your eye. If you are still in your twenties you can probably use all of that 7mm exit pupil above as your pupils will dilate to about that size in very dark conditions, however as you get older your pupil does not dilate more than about 4 to 5 mm so large exit pupils are wasted.

You might notice another specification marked on the binocular, the field of vision (FOV), it refers to the apparent ‘width’ of your vision as you look through the binoculars. It will be expressed as an angle in degrees or a measure such as 340 feet at 1000 yards. For astronomy use we can generally ignore that factor, it really does not matter a great deal at the distances we’ll be viewing at.

Silk is the first in a proposed trilogy following the life of Amber, the daughter of a Russian artist and the granddaughter of Blanche Pickford. Set in the early 1900’s, this magnificent story reveals the loves and losses of this young debutante, whose sole desire in life was to emulate the openness and love-filled marriage of her parents, but who, because of their untimely death, must instead succumb to the aspirations of her formidable grandmother, Blanche.

As a young girl, Amber is daunted by London society and the haughty airs and graces of its aristocracy, but when fate sends her Lord Robert, she finally feels that she might be able to make her way in this lofty world. An old school friend, Beth, rescues her from a potentially embarrassing and unfulfilling coming-out and their friendship continues to grow to the extent that Amber finds herself first in Paris and then in the South of France on a lavish holiday with Beth’s aristocratic family. There, she meets and falls in love with the artist, Jean-Phillipe… but their illicit love affair is pulled up short when Lord Robert indicates to Amber what manner of man Jean-Phillipe really is. Pregnant and desperate, Amber readily agrees to a sexless marriage with a man that may respect her, but can never love her. Throughout everything, we are heart achingly aware of a Jay’s unwavering love for Amber that is recognised too late.

Both an immensely penetrating and deeply moving love story and a history of a bygone era in British history, Silk is a powerful tale of intrigue, lust, drug addiction and the intensely private lives of the British aristocracy during a pivotal period. Jordan conjures up the brooding, salacious and delicious detail of a live that many of us could only dream of – palatial homes, decadent living, balls and parties, and through it all, a love of a fabric that manages to weave its way effortlessly through the story.

Hugely enjoyable, at times a little awkward and stilting, but always managing to capture your heart – this is a glorious read and one that is recommended to every romanticist out there.

How to Determine Yes-No Questions With Divination Using a Pendulum

A simple means of answering yes or no questions is divination using a pendulum. Divination using a pendulum is a relatively simple method, using an object swinging from a thread. It has been used for thousands of years, and is praised for easy of use and accuracy, when used in properly attuned hands. There are no requirements on the size or weight of the pendulum, but care must be taken to use a pure, untainted object. Divination using a pendulum traditionally requires a certain amount of preparation before readings can be made, but once this has been completed the tool may be used frequently. For more complex divination using a pendulum, a scrying technique is available.

A pendulum is usually one of two basic types, a ring on a thread, or a crystal suspended from a chain. Divination using a pendulum makes it imperative that the materials are untainted. For using a crystal, the best idea is to choose one that does not have inherent powers, and hasn’t been used for other mystical or divination purposes. Ceremonial cleansing of the item includes reciting a cleansing spell and following a procedure which involves leaving it exposed to the full moon overnight. Once this process has been completed, always protect it from direct sunlight, and store it in a way that is safe from natural and magnetic forces.

There are four possible result using the Yes / No version of divination using a pendulum. The first two uses should be to tune into its power. Hold the thread or chain by each end, with the weight suspended. You will notice that the weight swings either front to back, side to side, in a clockwise circle, or counter clockwise. Think of a question that is definitely a yes answer, and remember the direction the pendulum moves. This will be the indicator of a yes answer. Repeat the process to determine how to recognize a no answer.

You may test this by actual use in readings. When a question is posed, and the answer is one of the two unassigned motions, the solution is unclear. This could possibly mean the question has been incorrectly phrased, or the purity of the device has been tainted in some way. When readings are consistently accurate, the talisman is successfully synchronized for your use. It is not a good idea to allow others to handle a mystical item which has been personally prepared. Divination using a pendulum is dependent on the item being connected to its creator.

Our Solar System

The Solar System consists of the sun and the celestial objects bound by its gravity.

These planets include Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. At one point Pluto was also considered the ninth of Sun’s Solar System, until it was later defined as a moon capable of its own gravity pull. The moon also pulls the planet’s 166 moons and four dwarf planets in its gravity.

When broadly describing the Solar System and its region, it is easiest to consider the solar system’s largest bodies, the Sun, four terrestrial inner planets, the asteroid belt, four gas giant outer planets, the Kuiper belt, the scattered disk and the hypothetical Oort Cloud.

A solar wind permeates the Solar System, made of charged particles from the sun. This solar wind creates the heliosphere, which is separated from the rest of the solar system by the heliopause located around the scattered disk.

The sun is the main component of the Solar System, which every other part of the Solar System revolves around. The sun contains 99.86 percent of the Solar System’s known mass. Jupiter and Saturn account for 90 percent of the remaining mass of the Solar System.

A large majority of the objects in the Solar System lie near Earth’s orbit, which is known as ecliptic. The planets are very close to ecliptic while comets and the Kuiper belt are usually at different angles to it. The planets orbit with the Sun’s rotation, which is counter clockwise, with a few exceptions such as Halley’s Comet.

Every body in the Solar System varies in the distance from the sun throughout the course of its year. The closest approach to the sun is called perihelion, while the largest distance from the sun is referred to as its aphelion.

The Astrology and the Financial Crisis

In astrology planets are symbolic representations that have uncanny reflections in reality back on earth. There is no scientific basis that we can measure for this; but the symbols and meanings can help us gleam messages that help us understand our world somewhat the same fashion of dream interpretations.

There are two significant astrological events going on; Pluto moving into Capricorn, and Saturn opposite Uranus. Pluto in Capricorn symbolizes the destruction and transformation of old respected companies, and the total reconstruction of governments. Uranus and Saturn symbolize polarization between the old way and new unpredictable ideas. Some of the vibration is extremely fear based. Saturn is a planet that can indicate fear and scarcity; it is an old school vibration. Uranus is the planet of unpredictable changes and breaking away from tradition. These two planets are aligning opposite each other, in this position they are opponents, who will win? Will it be fear and the old ways or innovation and finding a new path?

The financial crises and bailout is only the tip of the iceberg of the problems the USA will be facing over the next several years. The charts of the US are indicating that there have been many secrets in the banking industry (and secrets regarding USA finances) and everything has not been exposed. The tides will turn even scarier for many people over the next few months.

So what to do? Honor the principles of Saturn and Uranus. How can you work harder and be more productive in your life? What can you eliminate that you are not using? Being conscious of the resources we have is the first step. The right use of Saturn is using what you have and if you aren’t using something donate it. Do not hold onto possessions because you are afraid to let it go, fearing that you might need it for some obscure reason years down the road. Chances are it will only collect dust and clutter up you home. Read the books you already bought before you run to buy more. Use up the food in your cabinets; wear the clothes in your closet or move everything out so others are able to enjoy what you no longer need. Uranus wants you to invent new ways of living. Do things different, think different, if you are not making enough money for the life you want, do something different. If you are not happy in your relationships, try something different. Break up your old patterns of thinking to allow for major shifts in your life. Honoring these principles individually we will be able to create a healthy and balanced vibration around ourselves and be able to counteract the fear vibration in the world. Honor Pluto in Capricorn by overthrowing your own inner authority that is no longer supportive or healthy for you. What voice in your mind is telling you that you should do something? Examine the “shoulds” in your life. Who is telling you that you should? Is it an old outdated program instilled to motivate you through guilt or shame? What old structure in your life can be revamped? Are your skills outdated? Are you hanging onto old true and blue stocks whose companies can keep pace with the times? Find your inner source of respect and security not contingent upon outside validation.

As many of you know, this month begins with a new moon total solar eclipse. Eclipses bring changes, and August will definitely be a month of changes. Some of the changes will be good, some will be bad, and many of the hurtles in front of us this month will be difficult.

The eclipse on Friday, August 1st, in Leo will light a fire under many of us. We may want something, and we will want it now! It will be a great weekend for doing things, and staying in touch with others.

By Monday August 4th Venus and Pluto will be turning on the charm and we will be ready for romance and friends for the next couple of days. But, Mars and Uranus will be beginning a standoff that will last through Thursday, and that could cause us to lose control. Venus will enter practical Virgo on Wednesday, and Mercury will be at an opposition to Neptune at the same time. This could bring liars into our environments, or some of us may have an abrupt change of mind.

Things will calm down on Thursday, August 7, but Mercury will follow along behind Venus to play games with Pluto for the weekend. There could be some very powerful conversations this weekend, and it will be a great time for travel.

Things will start to pick up on Tuesday, August 12th, with Saturn dumping guilt on Venus, and the drama continues to build just in time for the full moon lunar eclipse on Saturday, August 16th. We could be dealing with people trying to make us feel guilty, problems with controlling males, and even financial restrictions through Thursday. Then as Venus and Saturn begin to lose their hold, Mercury picks up where Venus left off, and the Sun and Neptune start a dispute of their own. This could bring verbal abuse, and substance abuse. Practice moderation, and don’t let people push you around through Friday.

And then, the full moon lunar eclipse occurs on Saturday, August 16, and we may be ready to do some house cleaning with Venus and Jupiter singing a duet at the same time. Lunar eclipses are usually a time of letting go, and Venus and Jupiter will help us to see the beauty in our lives. We may want to do some redecorating this weekend. At the same time as the Sun and Moon bond, and Venus and Jupiter hold hands, Mars and Pluto will be declaring war. On one side, we will be ready for some changes and taking an optimistic look at the beauty in our lives, but on the other side there could be sudden outbursts or even accidents to deal with. Needless to say, the weekend won’t be boring.

We will get to breathe a sigh of relief as the new week begins, and around Wednesday, August 20th, we may even receive a few blessings as the Sun and Pluto sing in harmony, and Venus and Mercury hold hands. This will bring progress, and cooperation with others. It will be easy to communicate, and the changes we want will begin to manifest. In fact, on Thursday, August 21st, the Moon will join the harmony between Pluto and the Sun to create the most positive aspect in astrology, a grand trine, for a few hours. We may find out that we are more creative than we thought we were.

The Sun will enter Virgo on Friday, August 22nd, and as the weekend approaches, the crap comes back. Little Mercury and Venus holding hands will be struck with a bolt of cosmic lightning from Uranus. Get ready for sudden rude remarks, detours, and even relationship breakups. There could also be problems with money and loved ones through Saturday, August 23rd.

Things will calm down until Tuesday, August 26th, as Mercury and then Venus cross under Pluto’s wrath. Pluto rules the criminal and the mentally ill when he is in a bad mood. Watch out for verbal outbursts Tuesday and Wednesday, as Mercury squares off with Pluto, and relationship and money upsets on Thursday and Friday as Venus takes her turn.

We will hit our second new moon of the month on Saturday, August 30th, as Labor Day weekend begins. September and Ramadan will begin with strong moral and optimistic attitudes with the Sun joining the Jupiter and Saturn celebration.

You can read more about Jupiter and Saturn in my article, Jupiter Trine Saturn – Ready to Work, and I will be back next month to tell you more.

Venus Through the Zodiac

This is not an article about the effects of the natural characteristics of the Signs on Venus. A planet, in addition to being influenced by the Sign it is placed within, will ALSO give the effects of the number of houses counted from its Moolatrikona sign and the number of houses counted from the planet to its feminine sign. This is the initiative/receptive dynamic within the planet. The masculine or Moolatrikona sign initiates the energy and the feminine sign receives the energy. Venus is the ruler of the natural 2nd and 7th houses, Taurus and Libra. The 2nd house is worth and the 7th house is desire. The ultimate desire being for “the other” or for a romantic partner. Thus, Venus rules desire and the choices we make to obtain our desires. Venus also rules weighing what is more worthwhile in order to obtain what is desired. Libra, the moolatrikona sign of Venus, is represented by the Scales.

When Venus is afflicted in a chart, the person makes poor decisions that take them down a path they do not want to go, and where the amount they must give up is not worth what they would receive. There is more than one name given for Venus in the classical texts. Shukra is the most common and it means “bright white”. Another name for Venus is kama which means desire. Venus is also “Kritajna” or “knowledgeable in conduct”. Thus Venus rules manners and politeness. Manners are necessary to navigate the world of others and have one’s desires fulfilled. “Dinavegya” means “offering to the miserable” and is another name for Venus. Whatever is offered to the miserable is to make them more comfortable, thus Venus rules all comforts, nursing and therapy. Venus also rules upayes or remedies for afflictions in the chart. Keep all that Venus represents in mind while evaluating its effects in the Signs. The Signs in which Venus is deposited, in addition to its position in regards to the Moolatikona will color and control all the effects of Venus within the horoscope.

Venus is Aries

In addition to the natural indications of Aries, Venus here will give the effects of a 2nd and 7th house Venus. Aries is 7 houses away from Libra, the Moolatrikona sign of Venus and counting from Venus, Taurus is the 2nd Sign from Aries. For Taurus, the feminine sign ruled by Venus, we always start counting from Venus first, because the feminine sign receives the energy and the masculine sign initiates the energy. Venus in Aries people enjoy the give and take of relationships and are almost always in one. They are sensitive and respectful of their partners and highly sensual. They have beautiful manners when dealing with others. The 2nd house Venus connotations will give make these natives be receptive to romantic partners with beautiful faces. Comfort and decoram play a major part in their lives. They react strongly to beautiful words and speech and can appreciate good food. These natives find much value in the beauty of their surroundings and have an eye for fine art. A man with Venus in Aries will have a wife or girlfriend who has problems with subservient workers, servants, maids and physical labor (Saturn is debilitated in Aries). He will also have a wife or girlfriend who has great luck with her bosses, the government, politicians and benefits greatly from her father (the Sun is exalted in Aries).

Venus in Taurus

Venus in Taurus gives 8th and 1st house connotations in addition to the natural effects of Taurus. 8th house connotations because Taurus is the 8th Sign from Libra, Venus’ Moolatrikona sign and 1st house connotations because Venus is in Taurus is in its own feminine sign. Venus in Taurus will initiate romance in a secretive, hidden fashion. They will be attracted to romantic partners who are also secretive and mysterious. They will find much value in the hidden, occult side of life. They often find that they transform themselves through relationships. They are naturally able to benefit from their partner’s resources. Relationships often have abrupt endings. These natives are well-groomed and take care of their appearance. They are on the receiving end of much nurturing and comforting within relationships. Receiving love and the results of their choices directly affects their self-esteem. A man with Venus in Taurus will have a wife or girlfriend who benefits greatly from her mother and has a wonderful relationship with her mother (the Moon is exalted in Taurus).

Venus in Gemini

This Venus has 9th and 12th house connotations. Venus in Gemini will initiate romance, nurturing and decision-making through a philosophical or religious platform (9th house). They are also very attracted to and desiring of these qualities. When they make a choice, it is often after considering how it will benefit their higher learning and wisdom. These natives may also incur expenses while being on the receptive end of a relationship. The consequences of their decisions will cause them to incur expense also and they more often than not will have to give something up to receive in their relationships. Venus in Gemini people will often find that foreigners are attracted to them. Sometimes their love interests are kept secret or hidden away. There is an inclination towards clandestine affairs but Venus would have to be very afflicted by aspect or low in Sthana bala or Cheshta bala for the illicit nature to manifest.

Venus in Cancer

Venus in Cancer carries 10th and 11th house connotations in addition to the natural characteristics of Cancer. This placement of Venus will initiate romance, nurturing and decision making based upon duty. The 10th house is the house of karma or action and these natives often initiate their romances instead of being on the receiving end of someone’s affections. Venus in Cancer will make a career out of helming the relationship and of nurturing the partner. They are often on the receiving end of friendship oriented crushes from others. Because the interested party always presents themselves as a friend, the Venus in Cancer person is obliged to initiate the relationship. The 11th house connotations on the receiving end of the Venus in Cancer person will cause this native to be drawn to nurturing friends. The friends will also be consulted on a regular basis in important decisions by this native. Social life is of immense value to this person as well. Often, the results of decisions are financial or material gain. A man with Venus in Cancer will have a wife who has had abusive or anger-prone siblings and trouble with real-estate (Mars debilitated in Cancer) but at the same time, she will also have a very good husband (the native himself and Jupiter is exalted in Cancer) and that she has very good fortune when it comes to the realm of higher learning, philosophy, religion and teachers. She is also generally happy and philosophical if Venus is not afflicted.

Venus in Leo

Venus in Leo natives initiate relationships and decisions based upon what they have to gain from it. Venus in Leo often find that their partners have a lot to bring to the table either in wealth, resources, beauty or knowledge. The Venus in Leo person is inherently attracted to these types of people, people who stand out in some way. These natives will utilize friendship and social interaction as their main force when beginning and sustaining relationships. The inherent value of the relationship will be based upon the friendly feelings between the two people and the ability of the couple to social climb and be recognized in social circles. Venus in Leo natives will find that they are often showered with love and devotion that they very much enjoy unless Venus is afflicted. This is because Taurus is 10 Signs away from Leo and they are on the receiving end of romance in a 10th house fashion. Their partners will make a “career” out of the relationship and nurturing the relationship.

Venus in Virgo

Venus is Virgo has 12th and 9th house connotations. Virgo is the debilitation sign of Venus. Venus in Virgo natives will initiate their decision-making process in a vague, hidden manner. They are often unaware of why they made a certain choice. Loss is the catalyst for entering into relationships and they often enter them just for sexual gratification (12th house). When they initiate a decision, they must almost always give up something before they can obtain what they desire. In addition to this, the idea of self-negation drives them in their choice of mate. This is why Venus is debilitated in this sign. Venus has to do with worth and if you are coming from a place of loss or thinking of devaluing yourself (12th house) in order to have a relationship, then you are going against the very nature of Venus as a karaka. Venus in Virgo natives are often the object of desire for philosophical, religious types and also their mentors and teachers. The consequences of their decisions will affect their higher knowledge, their philosophy of life, and their spirituality. A man with Venus in Virgo will have a wife or girlfriend who benefits greatly from her friends and who has many skills. She will also be very articulate. (Mercury is exalted in Virgo).

Venus in Libra

These natives have characteristics of the 1st and 8th houses. Venus in Libra will initiate its Venusian energy (partnership, relation, making choices and comforting, nurturing) through their body language and personal charisma. The native is polite, charming and well-mannered, gives good advice and has a soothing, comforting demeanor. The native will receive romance, nurturing and the consequences of their decisions through 8th house venues. This means through mysterious, hidden and taboo channels. They will often become caught up in secret trysts. The resources and wealth of the partner serve to nurture and comfort this native. A man with Venus in Libra will often get a wife or girlfriend who has a less than stellar relationship with her father (the Sun is debilitated in Libra) but very good luck with servants, tenants, and/or subservient workers. A woman with Venus in Libra will often get caught up in romances that are very long-term (Saturn exalted in Libra) but that lack stability and consistency (the Sun debilitated in Libra).

Venus in Scorpio

The native with this placement initiates relationships, decisions and comfort producing activities through the agent of their wealth. This person likes to feel stable within their own self-worth and financial situation and uses this to choose their partners and romantic interests. When they are trying to decide if something is worthwhile, the Venus in Scorpio person will calculate how it will add to their value. They are attracted to partners will beautiful faces. These people receive Venusian energy from partners that are highly sexual (7th house). When the partner wants to nurture and comfort the Venus in Scorpio person, they do it through ***. The consequences of the decisions made by the Venus in Scorpio natives will often lead them into relationships and/or dealing with business partners. The consequences of their choices will also have a wide ranging effect on the people in their lives. A man with Venus in Scorpio will have a wife or girlfriend that was abused by her mother either emotionally or physically or had a mother that was not present. The woman with Venus in Scorpio will have romances that are full of heavy emotionality and some paranoia.

Venus in Sagittarius

These natives have a Venus with 3rd and 6th house connotations. Venus in Sagittarius will initiate relationships out of a curiosity. They will be playful and love to go on adventures with their partner. When they make decisions and weigh the worth of something, they look to how much excitement it will bring them. The 3rd house is all about communication so these natives enjoy picking partners that they will be able to effectively communicate with. They are often on the receiving end of love interests that enjoy argument and sparing. Venus in Sagittarius is not the most auspicious place for Venus because the 6th house is the house of divorce. Many times, these natives will attract partners that turn out to be their enemies and do not have their best interests at heart. The consequences of their decisions often wind them up in debt. But they can benefit a lot from their decisions through the agency of their health.

Venus in Capricorn

The native with Venus in Capricorn will have 4th and 5th house characteristics to his/her Venus. This Venus will initiate relationships to find happiness and from deep emotional need. Nurturing others and making worthwhile decisions are an integral ingredient to their happiness. The 4th house is also a hidden house, so when the person is interested in someone romantically, they will show their interest very subtly and the object of their affection must be tuned in to their emotions. The Venus in Capricorn person receives love from others in a grand, romantic fashion (5th house). The partner of the Venus in Capricorn person will be very creative in the way they express their devotion. The consequences of decisions made by Venus in Capricorn people will often lead them into some kind of creativity and the opportunity to express their creativity will weigh heavily on the decisions they make. Also, if they have children, these children will always be taken into consideration when making decisions. A man with Venus in Capricorn will have a wife or girlfriend that has ill luck with teachers, mentors, philosophy and/or religion, and money. (Jupiter is debilitated in Capricorn).

Venus in Aquarius

Venus in Aquarius gives 5th and 4th house effects, exactly like Venus in Capricorn, however the initiative/receptive dynamic is reversed. Venus in Aquarius will initiate relationships and maintain them very creatively, and in an over-the-top romantic way. Before making decisions, they weigh how it will improve their creativity. Partners that are attracted to the Venus in Aquarius person will show their affections clandestinely, deeply emotionally. This native naturally attracts very nurturing partners. There are no planets that are exalted or debilitated in Aquarius, so reading some life experiences of the wife or girlfriend for the man with Venus in Aquarius does not apply.

Venus in Pisces

This is Venus’ exalted position. This is odd because Venus will give 6th and 3rd house effects here. Interestingly, such characteristics reveal the naturally cruel nature of Venus. After all, the avatar for Venus is Parasurama, an avatar that is known for his killing. And Venus is the guru of the demons. Venus in Pisces people will initiate relationships from an inimical standpoint, meaning they will love to challenge their partner. Verbal sparring will be their method of amorous fraternizing. Letting Go of the Matrix

Over the past few days, I have noticed that I have been focusing much more on looking within. By this, I mean each time I become conscious of any issues in my life, I look within and see what relationship they have with the Self within.

By focusing on the Self, it is easy to release; to relax; to give that issue its freedom, and let go of something that is no longer serving me.

Through this process, I am finding within me new depth I did not know I had.

On a couple of occasions, I have become very aware of the depth of silence within and the effect it has on my consciousness. What I have been noticing is, when I take my awareness very deep within, I become very magnetic.

I almost feel like a mini Black Hole. The aura around my body becomes very pronounced and solid. I feel the power of the magnetic field around me and through me. The power of this magnetic field can have a restructuring effect on my physiology.

I have been getting gentle burning sensations in my legs. I feel this is my spiritual blueprint being readjusted and my physiology being restructured to a new energy flow, which is more integrated and has greater wholeness.

I feel this process could account for some of the causes of eczema, as the skin can get quite dry and flaky.

Although I feel this happening within myself, I feel I am a part of a much bigger system.

Over the past year, we have seen a lot of sunspot activity in the sun’s aura. These sunspots are created by anomalies in the sun’s magnetic field, which burst forth in a corona mass ejection as the magnetic field breaks down in that region.

As that happens, a little while later we start to see activities in the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights around planet Earth as the earth’s magnetic field is affected.

What I am not sure of at this stage is, which comes first: the adjustments in my body – the microcosm; or the adjustments in the planets and stars – the macrocosm.

Whichever one it is, I feel these are linked and we are going through a major restructuring of awareness and consciousness, which now is getting so strong we feel it in our magnetic field and physiology.

I feel this is associated with the reintegration of the whole universe: a coming together, or oneness. We are all aware of the space and time that connects here and there together. What I feel we are starting to become aware of is all the dark matter that fills the gap between here, there and everywhere.

Although this dark matter is so small it cannot be seen or measured, science says it makes up 95% of the matter in the universe. Science also says 95% of the capacity of our brain goes unused. I feel there is a connection between these two figures.

As we start to become more conscious of this dark matter, we are beginning to see the universe becoming one – with no separation – interconnected by this dark matter.

We are seeing our consciousness and awareness flowing through this conscious and aware material, which is connecting human consciousness into an integrated whole of one Universal Mind that each human is a part of.

Astrological Guidance And Destiny

Seek astrological guidance, but don’t be totally dependent on it. The astrologer has many limitations. No astrologer has the final say in any matter. Plan intelligently, remembering the astrologer’s advice. Any pariharas (remedies) suggested by the astrologer can be adopted as long as they are spiritually oriented and do not involve unnecessary expenditure. Such remedies (as per Parasara the father of Indian astrology) are prayers and chanting of Mantras. Other remedies, which involve huge costs are not reliable and are mostly suggested by dishonest astrologers. Accept your Prarabdha and do your duties cheerfully. Know that you cannot escape your Prarabdha. Even Yogic can help you only to postpone it, not avert it! But there is one area where you have total freedom. That is your current karma (Kriyaman).

You can determine the course of action. You can bring in an anti-current of thoughts, a current of noble, spiritual thoughts, thoughts guided by Dharma. It is never too late to change the course of action. In the Kriyaman area, do good deeds. Let Dharma guide you. Some times there may be a conflict between free will (Kriyaman) and destiny (Prarabdha). However powerful Prarabdha is, DO NOT DESPAIR. Do your duties cheerfully without being excessively attached to the fruits of your actions. Surrender yourself to God and do your duties with a Nimitta Bhava. Great Yogic like Bhisma and Vasishta have placed Purushartha or exertion (free will) above destiny. Do not underestimate the role of Kriyaman Karma, your Free Will to change the course of action.

Advanced people do not need astrology. They accept Prarabdha as God’s will while the ignorant person develops pathological dependence on astrology, starts despairing, lapses into inaction or makes half-hearted attempts. It is perhaps for this reason that reformist thinkers like Swami Vivekananda and Swami Dayananda Saraswati were opposed to astrology. But saints like Sri Ramakrishna who was Swami Vivekananda’s guru, spoke positively about astrology, because they had the attitude of a bhakta (devotee) and see all this as a ‘play of the divine’. It all depends on how we take it. The devotee (bhakta) sees only Prarabdha. The vedantin (gnani) sees only Purushartha. Both are correct, because these are two sides of the same coin. The bhaktha (devotee) feels it is all Prarabdha only. Yet there is no fatalism in this. Prarabdha is only Purushartha (efforts born of free will) of previous births. Purushartha combined with Prarabdha brings effects. A man who is sick has to take the medicine (Purushartha) and leave the result to Prarabdha. Through Purushartha, Markandeya conquered death. Vasishta advocates Purushartha to Sri Rama throughout the Yoga Vasishta. We are neither totally bound by destiny nor are we totally free. We have limited freedom like a cow that has been tied to a post in a field with a rope. It can move freely, but only within the limits of the field. We have limited freedom depending upon how much we can stretch our Karma.

What is Mystic Tarot Cards Reading?

Tarot cards consist of twenty-one cards for every single suit. A number of bits of Europe use the set to relaxation, but this is scarce in English speaking territories where the set is regularly utilized for clairvoyance.

Tarot cards ascertain their heritage back in the 1300’s. Speculation points out that they were formed in Islamic territories, but the original actual report of them is when they were prohibited in the dominantly Christian territory of Bern, Switzerland. First tarot decks, in spite of the cost, consisted of solely 16 trump cards, as in comparison to the twenty-one that are consisted of in real sets.

The modern tarot deck is separated into what is commonly called the major arcana or trump cards and minor arcane or suits of cards. The trump cards or major arcana consist of twenty two cards, all without suits. These include the Fool, the Magician, the Empress, Justice, the Wheel of Fortune and others. The minor arcana consists of four suits of cards; swords, staves, cups and coins. Today, staves are often called wands, but rods or batons are seen as well. Coins may be called disks or pentacles in some tarot decks.

Tarot card meanings are generally changing – and they have also changed drastically through time. In the modern era, however, there are common interpretations for cards. Minor arcana cards, for example, carry with them a widely astrological meaning that varies depending on the time of year. The court cards, on the other hand, talk of different people. Their nature usually talks about the physical and emotional characteristics of these people.

To go into specific cards, their meanings are determined by the following things: Card Number, Key Number, Rulership (Astrology), Hebrew Letter, Translation, and Numerical Value. The meaning is also determined by the position of the card, whether it is upright or Ill-Dignified/Reversed. Death (Arcana), for example, means change. However, an upright Death means change that brings about ‘new life,’ whilst a reversed Death means ‘painful and abrupt change.’

Face to face tarot readings are interactive in a sense that the reader allows the person to determine which face down card is interpreted by the reader. Face to face readings are commonly found in the streets of many different places in the English-speaking world. In England the price drastically decreases depending on the number of people paying for the service. Some offer the service in the comfort of one’s own home, while some offer it on the street for cheaper rates as well.

There is a purist belief that face to face readings are significantly more accurate than other types of readings such as e-mail readings or phone readings, but of course the general destiny of these beliefs is to be completely unfounded like all other astrological arguments.

You can also have a tarot reading done over the phone. If you cannot find a local person who does tarot readings or would prefer additional discretion, this can be a good choice. While you should expect a tarot reading over the phone to be rather expensive, do avoid questionable services charging by the minute. There are reputable tarot card readers who provide readings over the phone for a reasonable flat fee. Some may also offer online readings for a small sum, and provide their interpretation of the cards via email.

Tarot card divination may not be a real science; it may not be as accurate as some people would like to believe, but the market for tarot is ever growing through the availability of readings online and in other similar mediums. While this is so, there is still a large demand for face-to-face tarot reading because of the mystique and interactivity. A fair judgment of the industry is that it is growing in its different aspects – whether it is face to face, on the phone, or by some other medium. While society drives itself into a more scientific future, the appeal of astrology, especially in tarot cards, is still growing fast.

Astrology and the Truth – An Unsettling Thought

The early Egyptian was very superstitious. Though their life was a close connection between the here and now and the life hereafter. To them the Pharaohs were more than men. They were gods that would continue ruling Egypt once the departed to Heaven. In harmony they would circle the earth with Osiris, waiting for the Day of Judgment, to come back and revive the good people.

But still the people wanted to know what the future may bring. Every mother that could afford the expense took her newborn to an astrologer to have his horoscope prepared and his future told. With the loving newborn in her hand and her dream for a bright future in her heart, she waited to hear the outcome of the cards.

Perhaps the mother of the boy Pharaoh has taken him to the astrologer. Having looked for the best person versed in reading and interpreting what the stars revealed. If then what did she learn. Did the sage tell her what she wanted to hear? A tale of prosperity, a long life and a beautiful wife? If so did she return home in the assurance that her newborn son would have nothing bad coming his way? Today we know what the astrologer should have said to her:

Your son will grow up in a palace. He will be rich and marry very young. He will be ruler of Egypt before he write and read properly. He will have the double crown of Egypt making every person bow before him. His wife will be blessed with exceptional beauty she inherited from her mother . And then glowing with pride he would have looked at her, suddenly pitying her. This will be all true but in less than 10 years time all this will be over and he will be dead.

King Tutankhamen died when he was 17 or 18 after he married when he was 10 and reigned Egypt as a boy with nothing but toys on his mind.

Answering Your Zodiac Signs Questions

For millions of years people have turned their watchful gaze to the stars to discover many things. It may have been a sailor looking towards the North for the Dog Star. It was a caravan of Gypsies navigating their way to their next destination.

People have watched the stars for a variety of reasons and one of those reasons is to determine their astrological fortune. How will the day go? What is in the stars for them?

The zodiac signs have long been used to foresee a future and make determinations of character. In this article we will cover zodiac signs and their meanings. Hopefully by the end you will have discovered a true delight in awakening each day to your astrological reading.

What is astrology?

Astrology is studying of the constellations, stars and planets to determine how they impact a person’s life and their habits. It is thought that the position of the stars, planets and cosmos has a direct bearing on a person’s life at their time of birth.

Whether or not this is true is still suspect as there is no real way to prove anything. But astrology has a wide following and people turn to their horoscopes daily to see what the stars have in store for them.

What are they represented by?

Okay, this is a long list so bear with us. Each of the zodiacs is represented by a figure, a thing or an animal in which the cluster of stars resembles. Aries is represented by the Ram. Taurus is of course the Bull. Gemini is the Twin.

Cancer is the Crab and Leo is the Lion. Virgo is the Virgin, Libra is the Scales and Scorpio is the Scorpion. Sagittarius is the Archer, Capricorn is the Goat, Aquarius is the Water Bearer and finally Pisces is the Fish.

As you can see many of the zodiac signs have names that are indicative of what shape the constellation is in. Each of the different zodiac signs has strengths and weaknesses attributed to them.

What are the different styles of zodiac?

There are three main types of zodiac used in the world today. The Western zodiac is the one we are most familiar with but there is also the Indian (Jyotish) zodiac and the Chinese zodiac. All three are still practiced widely and sometimes even used together to try to predict an outcome of someone’s life or gauge their personality traits.

What is the Western zodiac?

The Western Zodiac is the twelve signs that we are most familiar with such as Aquarius, Sagittarius and Leo. But what is interesting is that these twelve signs no longer correspond with their same place in the sky. Why is this? It is because due to equinoxes the star positions have changed over time and the constellations are no longer where they originally were.

Astrology Symbols

Each on of us interprets the cards a little differently and that is where this process becomes yours personally. Use your intuition when reading, if something comes up in your mind that you feel them, deal with them, and let them pass you by. Me? Psychic? Why Not?

Have you ever thought that you might be psychic? Or even wondered how someone else could be psychic? Certainly everyone experiences the world through the five senses – but what about that sixth sense?

Some people have a gift for singing with perfect pitch. Others may have a photographic memory, remembering every detail of their lives, even recalling whole books that they’ve read. It’s possible for some people to have 20/20 eyesight while most people need to wear glasses every day. When wine experts taste a glass of fine wine and know the variety and vintage of the wine, they are usually relying on a very skilled sense of smell in addition to the sense of taste.

These are just some of the very normal ways we know of where individuals have a heightened ability in one sense or another. Why would that not be true for psychic sense? We can accept that there are people who have special abilities, or powers, of communication or vision or sensing beyond our physical world, because we so often see how individuals’ ability to experience any sense can vary so dramatically.

At the same time, we also know that it is possible to improve your abilities to use your senses. A person can practice singing to develop their pitch. Mental games, crossword puzzles and study drills are techniques that can improve your memory. In other words, practicing and paying attention to your senses can help you increase your ability to interpret the sensations of smell, taste, sight or other physical and mental experiences. Could that also work with your psychic sense?

Its Perfectly Normal!

Everyone can recall an experience that makes you feel that something more than a simple coincidence has occurred.

  • Thinking of a friend or schoolmate who you haven’t seen or thought about for years, then bumping into them in a shop or park.
  • Idly thinking of a family member, who unexpectedly calls on the phone.
  • A near-miss of an accident, because you felt compelled to linger for just a few minutes before crossing the street.
  • A stroke of luck, finding money on the street and feeling like your eye was drawn to a spot just to see it.

Some say that there are no coincidences, that events are created by energy and thoughts which exist beyond our ability to measure or record them. The Law of Attraction is a popular new philosophy, based on the idea that thinking about what you want will draw those things into your life.

When a psychic gives a reading and projects future event for you, perhaps that creates a path for those events to find you and become your reality!

Pay Attention to Your Senses

Often after we have one of these “coincident” experiences (Because we all do have them!) we remark about it with our friends, shake our heads, “How about that?!”, then just forget about it and go on with our day. What would happen if you truly paid attention to those events? Perhaps a deeper understanding of your own psychic sense would begin to emerge.

You can begin very simply by keeping a journal. When an unusual thought about someone comes to you, take notice! Jot it down, just briefly. Track dates and times, and include simple descriptions. Make it an easy project by keeping your pen and paper, or hand held computer, nearby, ready for your notes.

After a few days, it will become second nature. Researchers tell us that when an activity is followed for thirty days, it becomes a habit. In just a month, you’ll have developed the habit of paying attention to your thoughts!

Include your dreams in your “Extra Senses Journal”. Scientists have learned that everyone spends part of their sleep time dreaming, but not everyone will remember them. Of course some dreams are dramatic or vivid enough to stay in your consciousness after you wake, but you can also train yourself to remember most of your dreams.

If, or really when, some following event occurs that relates to that thought, document it in your journal. Explore your thoughts and feelings – pay attention!

More Than a Feeling

If you use the journal to create a record of your thoughts and experiences, it won’t be long before you’ll be able to recognize some relationships growing between your thoughts and events in your life.

Another aspect of this exercise in understanding your own psychic senses is to learn to recognize and trust your thoughts and feelings. Again, it’s very common and perfectly normal to see this in hindsight: “I KNEW that would happen!” The fact is, you did know, but you weren’t consciously acknowledging your thoughts, or paying attention to the message.

When you review your journal, you’ll see how often your thoughts had true meaning. You’ll begin to recognize the power of your thoughts, and you’ll understand that you can trust your instincts to reveal the truth.

ME! A Psychic!

There’s no denying that some people have extraordinary talents or abilities, whether we’re talking about singing or psychics. A professional psychic can act as a ‘coach’ who can give you valuable advice. When you find a psychic who is able to develop a true communication with you, you’ll be able to appreciate your level of ability. However, even if you don’t have a psychic adviser right now, continue to explore and improve your psychic abilities on your own. Who know what you might learn?

Astrology Sun In Sagittarius

However, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where all of human life or civilization is wiped out. The only way this might happen is if, as some predict, a drastic event such as a pole shift or giant asteroid hitting the planet. I suggest being fatalistic about such possibilities.

You may or may not find this astrology sun in sagittarius comforting, but you are more likely to be hit by a car or truck on the highway than by an asteroid!

Another question that comes up when we start thinking about prophecies – cancer horoscopes – and cycles of time is the idea of predestination. Is everything set in stone, to the degree that ancient people had knowledge and wisdom that has been lost to us today, but what if they had some form of ancient computer in which they stored their secrets for others to unlock at some time in the future? Could that time be now? And could it be possible that astrology sun in sagittarius crystal skulls might be the culprit who would have caused loss to the native’s mother. Transition Periods Between Dasas

When these dasas change, major shifts in energy occur. This is why people seem to change overnight, the dasa are what change. To prepare us for these radical shifts the preceding bhukti period is always a preparatory time, whose energy is similar to the next dasa period.

Observe:

The last Bhukti or Mercury dasa is Mercury / Saturn. Saturn Bhukti prepares for the approaching Rahu dasa and his attachment to the world. The Moon is the archetype of the Soul’s descent into form, Rahu is the subconscious attachment to materiality and its ability to eclipse the mind, (the Moon) thus the Moon is helpful here. The last Bhukti of Jupiter dasa is Jupiter / Rahu. Rahu Bhukti prepares the practical and realistic mind for Saturn by reattaching itself to stress and worldly concerns.

Jupiterian optimism must give way to Saturn realism. Rahu represents our worldly attachments and bring the stress of Saturn in a subconscious way. The last Bhukti of Jupiter dasa is Jupiter / Rahu. Rahu Bhukti prepares the mind for the Moon Maha dasa, as the Moon is helpful here. The last Bhukti of Rahu astrology sun in sagittarius dasa is Rahu / Mars. Mars Bhukti prepares the worldly mind for the astrology sun in sagittarius approaching Venus dasa, as Mercury is the builder and the planet that wants to tangibly manifest a worldly life, he helps to bridge the otherworldly Ketu to worldly Venus.

The last Bhukti of Sun dasa is Sun / Venus. Venus Bhukti prepares the mind for the purgative nature of the Sun is similar to the next zodiac sign. First and foremost, I would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to America and the Far East will be the major players in this arena.

A Vedic Astrological Perspective – 2008-2009 US & World Events

I had written an in-depth article comparing the presidential horoscopes but due to conflicting birth times of Sen. McCain have decided not to publish them. The charts I had with McCain at 9 AM it really looked like he would win the election, with lord of the ascendant Mercury in the ascendant and this powerful period beginning in spring 2009. Palin’s chart is also strong from the data we have.

Obama’s is not as powerful with it looking like an uphill battle and less likelihood of his being able to possibly pull off a Presidential win this time around. Next year shows Saturn conjuncting his natal Mars in Leo which could spell some bad event for him personally, or were he to actually win the presidency something shocking and violent at the end of the summer. It’s not hard to imagine what that could be. Biden’s chart is very strong, though, so he will continue to go forward, win or lose, in the immediate sense, but Obama’s needs to be strongest for a win for the presidency.

As I said, the time of McCain’s is the problem. If born at 11 AM then this changes things completely with Mercury tenanting the 12th, rather than the ascendant. Therefore I couldn’t depend on it, but we’re sure to see in a few months, one way or the other.

I then decided to look at the yearly new Moon chart for the USA this March. This is a chart cast when new Moon in Pisces occurs and to see the events and influences portended for the year for the country in general. It is NOT a pretty picture. The first thing that struck me is the Jupiter/Rahu conjunction in the 8th house of death. Jupiter represents the financial markets and Rahu causes death, destruction and chaos. I do not see this so-called “bailout” as helping the economy at all. Things are bound to be more than volatile. I might add that Jupiter/Rahu conjunction was happening in the stock market crash of 1929, also in the 8th house of the yearly chart. In 1987’s chart Jupiter and Rahu conjoined, as well, and this time in the 12th house of losses and confusion. Remember the stock market losses of Black Monday in 1987?

I also even see a possibility of a “stolen” election. (It seems to me that this allegation has come up in recent ones, has it not?) Whoever ends up in the White House will not be able to change anything that is destined to occur. That is a fact.

This is not a positive outlook at all. 2009 is sure to bring the economic woes to an even greater degree than anyone imagines. What could be at the root of all this as the “immediate” cause? Crooks! Corporate thieves and criminals, and the politicians that support all that empower them. Materialistic, selfish persons run our governments. Those that profess their “godliness” are pseudo-spiritualists and their rhetoric rings hollow. Actions speak louder than words! Without some sort of honest and spiritually dedicated leader in the White House, as well as such leaders in Congress the instigating factor is and will remain personal profit.

Next year’s outlook is a wild ride, so if you think this year’s (from spring 2008) was bad with the Saturn/Ketu conjunction and lord of ascendant Mars in the 8th house, hold on to your hats.
So what to do financially? I would really recommend putting holdings in hard assets like paying off your own home, land, gold, gems, etc. Certainly don’t keep money in the stock market and not over the FDIC insurance maximums in banks in the US.

Those of you that know me (and most probably do if you’re receiving this) know I am the furthest thing from a fanatic or someone that likes to send out dire warnings or predict ruination for anyone. It’s my job to be logical and real in my assessment of planetary meanings and to help my clients in their personal lives that come to me for astrological services. My clients well know that I am usually somewhat conservative and honest with what I feel the horoscopes indicate. I’m not a “doom and gloom” guy, nor do I paint rosy pictures upon “castles in the air”.

We must all act in such a way as to bring our individual and collective consciousness to a higher level. Only gaining spiritual knowledge and then acting upon such knowledge will lead us to peace and prosperity and the real goals of life. Whatever pleasures and pains befall us in life are temporary and both the enjoyments and the sufferings are fleeting. The wise will know this to be truth and use such “wake up calls” from adversities to improve themselves and their own spiritual directives.

Jyotish is there to give us understandings of time and the events that may occur, but it also directs us to seek spiritual knowledge and to make the highest use of our human lives through development of the higher human qualities of kindness, compassion and charity while seeking true self realization.

That having been said it is also our duty to take precautions and act in a sane manner to protect our selves and loved ones, as well as to preserve what we have worked for. Therefore I advise people taking actions that will not leave them at the mercy of a possibly financial “melt-down”. Act responsibly as fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers, as friends and as citizens. Our actions create our individual futures and our collective actions create the future of our human society.

Let’s try to look out for each other.
